New Beginnings ...

We have found plenty of new beginnings around out house in the past two weeks!

Before we left for our trip, I convinced Ken to go with me to get flowers from our Career Tech Greenhouse. Between our Spring Break trip and our trip home for the shower, we had about a 16 hour layover at our house which the majority was doing this among laundry ...

Irises are blooming like crazy!!!

We tripled our garden space ...

Did you know that a natural way of killing grass is to put about 8-10 layers of newspaper down? We ran out of round up, so we decided to try an alternative method. Now if we could just get some topsoil. We are on a waiting list, because no one seems to have any in bulk right now.

We also have squash

and our corn seems to be popping up as well!

I can't wait to see all of this growing ... including those soon to be starving birds!
