Spring Break Recap

It was a lovely, simple break where each day seemed like they were savored.

Tootsie not only got her daily walk in, she also enjoyed playing ball, chasing mama around the kitchen, getting her hair brushed, being captain of the boat until she lost her ball, took naps during the daily nap time, sometime on the couch with me, and got to sit in front of the open door and watched the world go by.

It was a dog's bliss, and I think I wore her out! :)

Lunch for me was either pimento cheese or Hawaiian chicken salad that I made earlier in the week to pull out when needed. It was greatly needed and my hips loved it too.

I met a friend for lunch at my favorite-ladies-who-lunch-place - Clementine's!

Guess what I ordered? Pimento cheese and artichoke chicken salad!

A girl knows a good thing when she has one.

I watched both seasons of Downton Abbey in which I want to talk British now. Since, I am American, I will only talk British in me head so I don't get strange looks.

I worked on my bass tracker tan and still have a long way to go.

I also did all my favorite housewife duties, and am waiting on the results of my interview. I am sure I will be waiting awhile, but there is always summer!

Last night, my husband made reservations at Bonefish, and is was good. We had a little while before our reservations so we went in to Fresh Market and walked out with dehydrated seasoned okra and pistachios. I don't know who thought it was a good idea to go into a market will starving, but it was so refreshing.

After a refreshing dinner of Bang Bang Shrimp and lovely entrees, we went to Target, which was also refreshing.

So as you can tell, date night was quiet refreshing. We had many good laughs and a jolly good time!

We were home by 8:30 and in time to watch Dateline! Party animals, I tell you!

So today, it is back to getting ready for school by working on all that fun school stuff, laying out clothes, and putting snacks in small baggies.

I may have to sneak off to do a long awaited craft project or two.

Happy Weekend!

  1. Ahhh, what a wonderful Spring Break. And yes, date night... I guess we both we treated like queens last night. Terry came in from work and said, tonight is your night... what do you want to do and I said, you are going to think I'm crazy, but I want to eat inside Pizza Hut. He laughed because he was craving the same thing. I think we laughed more than we ate and even put money in the jukebox! Married life couldn't be better!
