Happy 4th!

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July! I really appreciate all those that fought for our freedom so we can celebrate this grand day!

We had a great time celebrating the 4th! This weekend was full of family, food, and lots of fun! My family came, and believe me, it is never a dull moment!

Saturday was spent on Lake Guntersville tubing and riding around.

We topped it off with a lunch at Wintzell's and homemade ice cream at home! A few of us may or may not have been a little red.

Sunday, oh sweet Sunday, was a blast! We scored some awesome Groupons for bowling and spent two hours laughing about my father talking trash to Middle sister as she continued to beat him game after game. If you know Middle sister, you will know that she is highly competitive. My father may not be the best bowler (even if he did beat me a couple of games) but he sure can entertain as he bowls! Family memories and talks for years to come were made on Sunday! There were times, I could even bowl straight due to giggling at something Daddy was saying.

As if bowling wasn't enough fun, we decided to go see Larry Crowne. In order to go to the movies with the Hales', you must be able to fill your purse with lots of goodies. So off to Target we went. Not only did we get some treats, we also went to the food court for hot pretzels and nacho cheese. We did eat the pretzels and nacho cheese at Target. The nacho cheese would have spilled in our purses! Ha! We have a motto that junk food helps to enjoy the movies even more!

You would think that after all of this, we would be tired. No, not at all. We went home and watched Law Abiding Citizen. Which, if you have not ever seen it, you must!

Monday, we decided to build ourselves a slip-n-slide to beat the heat! I have been wanting to do this for a long time, and with the sisters there, we won. Fun, fun, fun! I think this is the best way to beat the heat if you can't be near the water!

I hope your 4th was full of family, friends, food, and fun as you celebrated!

 Happy, Happy Independence Day!
