The Clock
Recently, I decided to make over the clock in our kitchen.
Recently, I decided to make over the clock in our kitchen.
The blue clock was not working for me anymore ...
(I had already dismantled the hands when I realized you needed a before picture!)
so I decided that a change was in order!
Like most of my projects, excitement and passion take over logic, and of course there are things that did not go right.
Such as, if you were to hang it the way it should be hung, 11:00 would be in the noon position.
I thought that this could add another hour to my day, but it didn't, so I hung it were noon would be 12:00.
Its not perfect, but I like it!
So, I gathered some jute, lovely scrapbook paper (don't you just love that trim?), vinyl numbers, scissors, and a pencil.
I took apart the clock, traced the scrapbook paper, and then placed it over the blue ...
After attaching the numbers, I realized that I cut the paper too short, and so jute to the rescue!
Placed everything back on the clock, while cutting my finger (so there actually is blood not only in the project but on the back of the project), added some more jute and hung at noon position!
It also makes such a difference to me!
Happy Friday, and I hope you have a fabulous weekend!
Very shabby chic!! LOVE!
