Weekend Highlights

This has been a glorious weekend!

Friday night we had a date with Newk's where the Southern Salad was divine!

We then went to Target where I got some cute dresses.

To me, dresses = summer! I am ready!

Ken got some new shirts as well at Dick's.

On Saturday, I planted corn and okra seeds in this vegetable bed

and lavender and zinnias in some others.

If you are wondering if we are still using the creek to water our vegetable garden, we are - Mississippi Style

We filled up the barrels with water for future use! Don't worry, I will keep you posted on this!

I then spent the rest of the day on the couch reading this ...

There was so many twist and turns that it reminded me of how I learned to spell Mississippi.

That would be by saying each letter and then swinging my body and snapping my head on the "S's."

Don't laugh.

There were many 6 year olds that appreciated being taught that on the playground back in the day.

In case you are wondering, I don't do the dance anymore except mentally when I am spelling Mississippi! Even then, I am back on the playground ...

I have a slight obsession with Mark Walberg.

I never get enough of Marky Mark, and Christian Bale did a fabulous job portraying his brother.

I always like watching the Special Features of DVDs, and this one did not disappoint!

The rest of the evening was spent playing this ...

Around 12:30 am, I had to resign. Ken was beating me any way. You know what he beat with?
