The following green bean recipe was developed when a poor college student was hungry one night, and all she had was a can of green beans and a lot of seasoning. She soon began serving for company, and they loved it. She took it to pot-lucks, and they loved. People have asked for the recipe, but its often hard to describe. What a better way to share a recipe than with pictures.
You begin with basic ingredients:
1 can of green beans
1 1/2 Tbl of Soy Sauce (I use lite)
1 tsp Italian Seasoning
1 tsp Cavendar's Seasoning
1 tsp Tony Catcher Seasoning
(or any other seasoning you have. If you don't like to measure, then dash until your heart's content)
Directions:
1. Open the green bean can and drain.
2. Toss the green beans in a skillet
3. Add your Soy Sauce and any ol' seasoning that you need ...
4. Stir it up good and continue to stir and mix and stir and mix ever so often
5. Keep flip it around until the soy sauce has been absorbed
6. Add it to your favorite meal!
There you go! Enjoy!
Haven - I make something like this but I place two slices of bacon in the skillet and cook it so the bacon grease cooks with the beans. (Instead of soy sauce.) And I love to make them spicy with Tonys!!
