Oh Ocoee!

We had a wonderful vacation on the Tennessee and Georgia state lines! We spent a lot of time on the water and I even got a tan to boot! We just wanted to share the tale of our summer vacation.

First of all, we stopped to get lunch at the wonderful little place:

Their motto was 2 can dine for $9.99. We were very excited that they advertised a pizza buffet. Wanting to eat lunch and get back on the road, we thought it would be great!

Here is my handsome husband ...

Please notice behind him the pizza buffet where you ordered your pizza that you wanted and they put it on the buffet to share with everyone. We chose jalapeno and sausage. It was very good. We noticed that they like using these ...

Who doesn't love to use paper plates. No need to clean up dishes. Just through them away. As we were finishing up our meal, the waitress came over and asked why we were not using these ...

Apparently they had a set of 8, but someone lifted one. Now they have 7, and I think it gets kind of hairy during the pizza buffet rush hour. The pizza was good as well as the time there.

Next on our trip, we went to visit the rapids that we would face on Friday. Here was our first rapid ...

Just kidding. This is Ocoee #2 dam. We actually took our rafts down the side to enter the water.

We went with the Ocoee Adventure Center. Our guide's name was George, and he was great. There were only three of us in the raft, so he was able to do different things with us. I really enjoyed "surfing" in the rapids. I just told George that no matter what, I wanted to stay in the boat. I did.

We also went to view where they hosted the kayaking part of the 1996 Olympics. This is what it looked like on Thursday and Friday. This is the upper Ocoee.

I love how these make little swimming holes for people to enjoy!
Forestry Service Bridge to observe the upper Ocoee.

This is what it looks like on Saturdays and Sundays.

This is just a little bit of our trip. I will share where we stayed as well as some activities and stories that we did.

Thank you for all the anniversary wishes! You all are so sweet! I hope you have a great week! I also hope to have a project that I have been working on by the end of the week!
