So I went through my coloring box, organized all the colored pencils, markers, and crayons. (The educator in me. I live by organization and order. Ha!) The broken crayons I decided to melt. After peeling all the labels off, I put them in muffin tins. By the way, the crayola crayons had the hardest labels to peel off. The really must like their labels.
I preheated the oven to 350, put the muffin tins in the middle of the oven, and watched them melt. After about 10-15 minutes, the crayons looked a little soup and were completely melted.
I took them out and let them cool for about 2 hours. I then popped out and admired the pretty colors.
Aren't they neat looking?
So the most important color to pick is the new color for our shutters.
I think dark brown will make it pop against the light colored brick. What do you think?
I personally like the the one on the far left in the middle. Its called mudslide.
Have a happy day!
I'm with you - the dark chocolate color for the shutters. And such a neat idea for the colors.
