Breakfast Recipes

Breakfast has to be one of my favorite meals! I love a very good breakfast! Here are some recipes that I use over and over! By the way, I don't always measure! I like a dash of this and a dash of that, so I will do my best with measurements!

Banana Nut Bread
from allrecipes.com
1 (18.25 ounce) package golden butter cake mix
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1 cup mashed ripe bananas (I use 2-3 bananas)
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Mix all ingredients and pour in a greased loaf pan! Cook around 40 minutes or until the toothpick comes out clean! (Thanks Scottie!) They also freeze well! My husband loves this recipe! My middle sister does too! It is great to see who can eat the most between them!

Quiche
I love this recipe so much that I keep in on a memo pad in my phone. I just needed a basic recipe. You can add whatever you like, but it is always good!

Frozen Pie shell
3 eggs
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup milk
Salt
Pepper

In your frozen pie shell, add your ingredients such as cheese and whatever else you want. I use about half a bag of shredded cheddar, 7 pieces of canadian bacon, and a can of green chilies. Mix your other ingredients and pour on top of your whole ingredients. Cook at 350 degrees for about 30-40 minutes.

* I use both pie shells when I make this and just double the recipe. We eat one and freeze one for later. Using both pie shells, you can use a whole bag of shredded cheddar cheese, a package of canadian bacon. Works great!

Brook's Recipe
This is another one of Ken's favorites and one that Brook learned from the fabulous Mrs. Strickland in Home Economics!

2 cans crescent rolls
1 lb sausage
1 package cream cheese

Lay out one can of crescent rolls in the bottom of a 9x13 greased pan.
Cook the sausage, drain, and mix with cream cheese.
Put mixture on top of the crescent rolls and add the next can of crescent rolls on top!

Cook for about 20-30 minutes! Delicious! Great on Sunday mornings!

I use all reduce fat ingredients that I get from Kroger!

Sausage Muffins
Got this recipe from my cousin Amber! It is a favorite in our house!

1 lb sausage
2 cups Bisquik
4 oz shredded cheddar cheese
1 can of cheddar cheese soup

Cook sausage and drain.

Mix with the rest of ingredients.

Put a big spoonful in greased muffin tins.

Cook about 20 minutes or so! Makes about 24 muffins.

Enjoy!!!
