Hello Friends!

Well, I must say, I have taken quite the hiatus, but I am glad to be back.

Throughout the month of January and the beginning of February, our life has been in spurts of excitement and rest.

I would not have it any other way.

I think God create winter so that we would slow down and just enjoy the little things.

So what have we been up to?

We have reestablished some relationships and witness miracles.

We have seen snow, got our milk and bread, and even got out of school early

To only have this later on ...

Oh southern weather! May I never change out my closet because you always keep me guessing on what I should wear daily.

I had the honor of expanding my photography skills by taking some pictures for a senior and his family from school.

The picture taking and creativeness was fun, but it was the ol' Photoshop editing that made me really get acquainted to Google, YouTube, and PW Action Shots. :)

I got to use the rest of my stationery because we got three lovely, handwritten notes in one day. There is nothing like receiving mail with such loveliness.

Photo: The joys of letter writing!

I also got to Step in Time with some of the besties ...

Please ignore these people. Clearly, we were up higher than they were. Nose bleeders. :)

I also worked on my dining room, which I will share later ...

And redid some chicken wire art ...

as well as got a little a head on some Christmas projects.

and played around with these ladies ...

We discovered that we have daffodils!

And blueberry buds with a large chocolate photo bomber!

All of this makes me tickled pink that Spring is just around the corner!

Last of all, I quickly decorated for our simple, quiet Valentine's dinner at home.

I pulled out all of our best, and then we both arrived at the table in our yoga pants. What could be better than that?

There were no gifts, just simply a card exchanged, which I loved.

Later on, we raced to see who could eat the most Reese's out of the $1 bag.

I must say that we are both equally fast.

We feasted on Chicken Marsala, steamed broccoli, and lava cakes. Scrumptious.

Well, that is the news on at the Ponderosa right now. There are others things that I want to share with you, but that will have to wait until another fine day.
