Dining Room

When my wonderful husband was moving me from Mississippi to Alabama, this was the first room he had to move. He then started calling it, "her room." As far as decorating goes, this is probably my favorite room. I love the beautiful teals, blues, and browns. I love our serving dishes! How is a girl from Mississippi entertain with such hospitality without her beloved pottery? I just love mixing and matching McCarty, Peters, and Finger Tip pottery! So pretty! We received a lot of it as wedding gifts. All the furniture you see, my mother gave me so she could get some more for her house! The only thing that I bought was the buffet. My grandparents gave me some money for high school graduation, so I decided they would want me to buy this. They knew my love for antiques and often added things to my hope chest when I was growing up! My talented mother and I found some beautiful material at Sir's Fabrics in Fayetteville, TN to recover the dining room chairs. I was able to get it with some Christmas money my wonderful Mama Betty and Big Daddy gave me! This room is definitely a group effort! I made the table runner with some great heat and hem tape! Hope you enjoy!
